writer. independent frontend developer. lowercase enjoyer. computer gremlin.

i don't use social media anymore. this account is just a semi-automated feed of links from my personal blog. if you want to get in touch, please send me an email.
i made this list in less than 30 minutes at IndieWebClub, so idk how accurate they'll end up being. but i'm fairly confident about at least three or four items here.

i wrote about a limitation of PKM apps that's been bothering me lately.

ankursethi.com/blog/pkm-app...

(this is a pretty short post, but for some reason it took me a REALLY long time to write. still not sure why. and i'm not particularly happy about how it came out.)
PKM apps need to get better at resurfacing information — Ankur Sethi
Modern PKM apps allow me to collect vast quantities of information. The downside is they're not good at resurfacing what I've already captured.

i have a strong mental association with my external monitor + keyboard desk setup. i'm so used to writing code from this space that i find it difficult to use it for anything else.

i'm trying to break this mental association by trying out different pre-work rituals.

i want to be able to choose where i direct my attention, and i want to do it mindfully and intentionally. social media doesn't let me do that, so i quit using it entirely about six months ago.

here's a post about how it affected me and why i quit for good: ankursethi.com/blog/social-...
