Liked this to come back when I could.

My purpose is to help more people find as much happiness in their professional life as they do in their person life.

My goal is to eliminate as many barriers for people to go after that thing they can’t stop thinking about.

How do we make life enjoyable+?!

Next time you’re networking, don’t just ask great questions—also answer them. My hope is you’ll be amazed at what happens next.

The best relationships are built on reciprocity.

If they open up, you open up too. Simple as that.

After I left the job, I realized I needed to change my approach. I started opening up, talked about my experiences and matched openness with openness.

If you’re only asking questions but never letting people into your world, you’re like me -- missing half the equation.

It wasn’t because they didn’t like me. It was because they didn’t know me. I had most often asked questions—I rarely shared.

(I was also too often focused on my productivity, so I didn't make nearly enough time for casual, office conversation anyway -- which is a whole other mistake!)

I used to believe that being a great listener and asking follow-up questions would build strong relationships. But when I left my job after 7 years, barely anyone said goodbye.

The lesson? You don’t need the perfect job history. How can you recognize what you’ve already picked up along the way --- or go out and get it?

I wasn't chosen for my resume. I was picked because of my exposure.

Fast-forward 20 years: I built a broadcast structure for an esports company using that knowledge I had gained without intention.

But I asked to be around great broadcasters. I absorbed everything. In college, there was no sports broadcasting program, but I learned how news segments were structured -- even though I never planned to work in TV news.

In fact, I never have.

I knew I wanted to be a sports broadcaster, but I didn’t even pick the best college for it initially.
