There are fewer people employed in manufacturing in the US now than there were before the tariffs.

Why not just split one of those counties to give them an even 100? Stupid Iowa.

Turns out I had just accidentally picked a handful of stocks whose options were making relatively big moves throughout the week. I had no real idea what I was doing, and the longer I traded, those gains turned into losses pretty quickly.

My genius was very short-lived.

And why would be a heritage American make me any better of an American? My neighbors fought like hell to come here and earn their citizenship. All I did was be born in San Antonio.

The Paige family came from England, too. But after the Civil War. Do I still get the Heritage?

And does that erase the other part of my family lines that are German, French, and traitors to the US (Confederates)?

Of course, they could name a highway after you and then you’re constantly being associated with people being stuck in traffic.

The baller way to do it is have people like you so much that they name stuff after you. Naming stuff after yourself is like giving yourself a nickname. Very cringe.

The GOP really, really likes to protect sex predators. It might as well be Item One in their platform, even before giving blow jobs to the wealthy.

And the same people who yearn for "law and order" against minorities and immigrants for any infraction (whether illegal or not) will still not see the disconnect when they continue to support this presidential administration that is apparently trying to set a Guinness record for lawbreaking.

The Reagan/Bork change from using Market Structure to "Consumer Welfare" (largely defined by 'efficiency') to decide when to enforce anti-trust was, ultimately, anti-capitalist and resulted in massive consolidation and a dramatic lessening in competition (a key component of free-market capitalism).

I have worked with a number of women, but women significantly outnumber men in the accounting profession overall.

I hear stories like this and then remember that I have NEVER had a Black co-worker in my entire professional career. (My metro area is 16% Black).

So anecdotally, I don't see any evidence, at least in the companies where I have worked, that white people are being passed over for racial reasons.

I hate this because my brother started a feed lot not too long ago, and high prices just make him look like a genius. And that is very annoying.

That should say "wouldn't be this"

Damn my fat fingers

Not helping and actively trying to hurt are definitely not the same.

I don’t know what Harris would have done as president, but I know for sure it would be this.

Even harder to understand are the people who apparently haven’t caught on yet and still buy his bullshit.

That’s one of the things I don’t understand about Trump. An 87% cut in drug prices would be a major achievement. But he can’t stand the idea of not being ‘the biggest ever’ or ‘the best ever’ so he always pumps up everything to ridiculous extremes.
