I used to do tournament commentary. I still do, but I used to, too.
The occasional mimosa is a must for me. he/him
Oh sure. It makes a lot more sense on Mox Diamond and Lotus Vale, but it is consistent to apply that principal here.

As for why it's templated that way, some of it is probably just early card design, some is probably so it entering won't put a triggered ability on the stack for... reasons? It would be obnoxious if your opponent Boomeranged your only Plains in response, for example.

So, what I think you're asking is whether there is a window where you have sacrificed the Plains and the Outpost is not yet in play and you would have priority to Tithe before it enters, which there is not as playing the Outpost itself is a land drop and that doesn't use the stack.

Thank you for the kind words- they mean a lot to me!

I mean, there are no Constructed formats for the card anymore, but it still rips in a lot of Cubes.

Take it back.

This card is fantastically weak.
November 25, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Presumably because they tap for two mana, but it is a very odd cycle.

Rock's gotta get up the mountain somehow.

Yeah, that, in fact, sounds awful! haha

Every now and again working on Cubes leads me to thoughts like "Balduvian Trading Post is definitely too powerful for this environment" and I love that shit.
November 25, 2025 at 2:52 PM
It's a riff on 100 Ornithopters for a Twobert environment. Unlike Ornithopters, Razor Swines have a tendency to trade in combat!
November 25, 2025 at 2:23 PM
It's the sort of thing where a card like that would be reasonable for a lot of Standard environments, but the existence of dredge just makes it uncomfortable space to design in. Which I do think is cool because there's a lot more depth to Epicure.

I think that Alliances benefits a lot from following three sets with cards that were just awful to look at. Even when they play awful, they at least don't make my eyes hurt.
November 24, 2025 at 10:51 PM
It's such a funny cycle because the cards are cool as hell and it's basically impossible for them to lead to good play experiences one way or the other.
November 24, 2025 at 10:31 PM
I have been trying to use the card's names multiple times as I talk about them, but trying to have closing statements featuring the card's full name is something I could work on.

I suspect it would not be worth the effort on your end. Mostly just sharing some funny screenshots here.

This is a frequent request, but it's unfortunately a lot more extra work than it might seem to implement and is just a full non-starter for me to implement.
