Great news for that corner. Also, finally some movement at the gorgeous old bank that was most recently a Wendy's, but's been closed for a couple of years: Burger King installed new signs this week.

I’m suddenly understanding NIMBYs.

Snagged the railfan seat on my ride home on #SEPTA. The Norristown line is such a beautiful commute.

Sci-fi Gamer aesthetic. Angled planes and chamfers chunked up to fake out a military tech vibe.

Philly’s little strip of lawlessness known as the Broad Street median.

Massive northbound delays on SEPTA B1. Overheard someone saying he’s been waiting since 6:55, over half an hour ago. No explanations on the platform or the website.

Cool! If you’re posting on your phone, you should see a bar at the bottom with icons. Tap on the one all the way to the left that looks like a landscape picture to add photos to a post. I circled the icon in red here.

The grand court, filled in for a concert on the LARGEST ORGAN IN THE WORLD. Hope it’s not too long until the next one. This building is too important and too much of a treasure to shutter for long.

Some grim comedy from a dying store.

Architectural ornament from various locations in the building.

Over the last 20 years, I’ve been inside this building dozens, if not hundreds of times. But today was the first time I realized Macy’s never even used the full floor plates for display. Sections of entire column bays are hiding behind drywall if you know where to look.

Emptied out you can see the beauty of the architecture more clearly.

Here at Wanamakers for the end of the Macy’s chapter.

I know SEPTA has much bigger issues to tackle, but platform doors like these in Busan would go a long way towards making the subway system safer and more reliable.

I love SEPTA’s new signs. But’s it’s going to take me a while to stop calling it the BSL.
