Extra stupid when you realize how hypocritical they are cause you could never use this argument that 1917/1991 happened so Russia isn’t the same for Ukraine, they will always insist it’s always 1943 in Ukraine unless Russia takes over and then it’s all Brezhnev era goodness hey why’s the reactor-

While I’m here, it’s both incredibly fucked up and morbidly hilarious that the only people who suffered consequences for the Iraq War were the people who actually tried to make Iraq into a Democracy, rather than the people who wanted to turn Abu Ghraib into Auschwitz’s. (See “SecWar” Pete at GITMO).

In hindsight the villain from White House Down might funnily enough be a pretty realistic version of this lol, doesn’t want more Iraq’s, decides the best solution to do this is nuke the Middle East cause then no more brown people (take notes for your next viewing @blinddrunk.bsky.social lol).

Much as I like having the president be the Head of State and Government, it definitely has been having this problem, especially recently, and I don’t currently see a way to fixing it, not that one doesn’t exist but still.
