Hurricanes don't have a practice this morning, but Jalen Chatfield is skating before the team flies out for their four-game road trip.

Good sign for his availability moving forward after that hit to the head a little over a week ago.

Brind'Amour on Carrier, who set up the Staal goal, had three hits, two blocks and drew two penalties: "He was great. He was the reason we got the two points tonight, in my opinion."
November 16, 2025 at 3:14 AM
Brind'Amour on Ehlers: "I think we've found a little chemistry. He's a unique player. I don't know what the right fit is sometimes, but with Stanks and Blaker, they seem to really be on the same page and all of their skillsets are very unique. So far, it's working."
Ehlers is on a seven-game point streak in which he has scored four goals and registered eight points.
2-2

Ehlers.

Good work by that second line to move the puck and Skinner was lost in no mans land

Brind'Amour on the start: "Terrible start. It's the National Hockey League. You can't just give away goals and I think we gave two. Not a great penalty and then obviously Freddie would like to have that first one back. That was a mishandle."
November 16, 2025 at 3:07 AM
Brind'Amour on the overtime: "Puck possession. And then when you have the talent that they have... We could have done a better job, we sagged a little, but it's one thing to say it. When you're playing against those guys, it's what they do to you."
