Dictators of all stripes hate solidarity. They’d prefer that we cower alone. They want us to feel powerless.

This is why I encourage you to participate in the peaceful demonstrations planned for today across America. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/april-5-hands-off-our-healthcare

We did the plastic math in American numbers

Every car tire emits 8.8 pounds (4kg) of plastic x 4 tires
(more for multi-tire vehicles & replacement tires)
8.8 x 4 =35.2 per car
35.2 x 1,600,000,000 =53,620,000,000 lbs

At least 54 billion pounds of nanoplastic produced by our cars in our lifetimes.
"The most abundant nanoplastic was tyre particles (41%), then polystyrene (28%) and polyethylene (12%). Each tyre on the world’s 1.6bn vehicles can lose 4kg during its lifetimes and may be the largest source of tiny plastic pollution."
Vehicle tyres found to be biggest source of nanoplastics in the high Alps
Mountaineers now scaling more peaks for first global study of nanoplastics, which can enter lungs and bloodstream
