I find it fascinating the scientists that develop large language models can’t accurately define what is happening inside them. Maybe that’s what attracts them, the magic of it all. But definitely, the burnout is real.

It’s for the intuition. Think “staged Short Selling scripts waiting on threat of eventual Black Swan collapse…”. It’s a new thing, a new way of anticipating outcome. AI doesn’t replace fry chefs. It replaces Risk Analysts.

I would hedge my bets on this take. For the history of compute, questions and solutions have been largely “quantitative” in construct. The new normal is “qualitative“. It’s going to take a few decades to figure out how to really use AI, no matter how many chatbots we see…
