Tbf to user it seems that they did have some people who they listened to. They responded to some degree—whether you find it valid or appropriate enough is up to you—in a new post later.

I appreciate your willingness—I am assuming here—to listen to concerned Jewish friends.
I think that’s an important posture for all of us whether Jewish, Muslim, Palestinian, Christian, American, otherwise. We can and should all be responsive to critique by trusted others.

I have a question. I largely agree and am someone who will be quite negatively harmed by Republican ACA changes.
However, I assume you agree we that working in the party, rather than refusing to work with it if it doesn’t meet demands, is what was effective in the AA CRM. Your thoughts?

And, side note, if you wanna look at a very influential contingency that aided in making pro-Israeli policy so powerful in the US and aided AIPAC in massive ways, look not to Jewish institutions, but to Evangelical Christian Zionist thought.

Can help you avoid the stupid, antisemitism of associating every Jew with Zionism, AIPAC, ADL version of antisemitism, etc.
And this, in turn, makes your advocacy for liberation of Gaza more powerful.

Antisemitism makes you dumb. And Emissary is not dumb nor antisemitic.
Instead she looks to historical processes and actors to understand the current moment.
She doesn’t rely on simplistic ideas to critique modern Zionism in its pro-Israeli form.
This understanding the nuance and contingency…

It notes that AIPAC is an institution with goals set in the past and which had ebbs and flows of success. These goals did not flow from and through AIPAC only, but through many channels.
And why point all this out? Because it goes back to something I said a few days ago…

100% there must be a Star Trek episode with an alien trying to be human that acts more human than him. They are probably wearing Roman costuming.
