Smart people read dystopian science fiction and see it as a warning. Dumb people read dystopian science fiction and see it as a guidebook.

I like to play story focused games when I'm not in the mood to read.

Gen X and younger Boomers are the only generations where the majority voted for the orange felon. So, yeah, not the greatest...

I would rather have no audio book than one narrated by AI. I would rather record my own audio book, and I hate the sound of my voice on recordings.

This phenomenon is mostly bullies getting angry that they can't have unrestricted access to the people they are bullying.

I loved that part of the game, especially how the normal music just kept playing in battles. It really set the mood so effectively.

Just make sure you kill her first try so you don't have to rewatch the unskippable cutscene.

Somehow, I went into Yunalesca blind on my first try and beat her. I don't know how I managed that.

Seymour on Mt. Gagazet was the worst, though.

I'm not even sure what I just read.

Also, I'm pretty sure we reached Idiocracy way ahead of schedule.

She just needed me to take her trash can to the curb, so it wasn't too bad. She's older with breathing problems and didn't have her usual help with it.

I wonder if I should give FF X-2 more of a chance. When I first played it, everything about it just made me cringe, but I've learned to tolerate some of the cringe in JRPGs since then.

Honestly, I'll probably just play it how I want to play it and then go to YouTube for the true ending.

This is what happens when people outsource their thinking to AI. They become less and less capable of thinking at all.

I actually answered a phone call the other day, but only because the caller ID came up as my next-door neighbor.

There's nothing quite like scratching your beard and finding one of those little demons hiding under the hair.

That's the one where you're on some kind of magical conveyor belt system, isn't it? I remember hating that so much.

I'd swear most people only know this scene in meme form. It is supposed to be horribly awkward. Like, that's the entire point of the scene.

This. And can some people stop waiting for the perfect candidate to show up? It will never happen. Vote for who you think will do the most good and the least harm. Vote for someone who can be worked with.

The funny thing for me is that I've kind of become the complete opposite. I lay down a very basic framework for my world, discover more about it as I'm writing, then fix any inconsistencies or add details during revisions.

This. I'm so tired of people complaining that Democrats aren't doing what they want. Without supermajority, Congress relies on compromise. MAGA does not understand the meaning of the word compromise.
