There a lots of people who call themselves software engineers but they are only programmers. An engineer is someone who accepts responsibility if the system they built fails.

TBH the Nobel prize structure is a a terrible fit for the way scientific research is organised: Most of the science papers are written by more than 3 lead authors.

This kind of article is a good part of a conversation. There's a kind of feedback between guidance and practice - if practitioners don't use the advice, DfT cannot gather evidence to refine and strengthen it. Also 'steam gives way to sail' is mabdated in the latest highway code.

They don't coincide constructively without any choice. There are models where the catchy reals are a set but the dedekind reals are a proper class. Countable choice makes them the same.

I didn't recognise the name but his research interests include statistical mechanics and braided monoidal category theory: so my best guess is classical and constructive mathematics.
