She’s criticised him quite openly at times. And Welsh Labour IS different to UK Labour. Sometimes in a good way and sometimes not. Some issues facing Wales and the other devolved nations are quite different to the centralised English government (and often ignored by the media).

I don’t agree with you but respect your opinion.

Maybe. But the delay could give the rest of us a bit of relief from the media exploiting the Andy Burnham saga to fill its endless news hours and boring us to distraction. Plus there are bigger things - nationally and internationally- to worry about.

Proof that you seem to delight in labelling people in a derogatory manner. It’s nothing to do with who is or might be the best leader: the country deserves a period of stability and, if possible, a determination to pull together at least for the next couple of years.

No, it’s Andy Burnham and all the Labour MPs more interested in infighting and ambition than the needs of the country and the threats internationally. We see you.

I think the media influences all of us as it so relentlessly drips into our ear. See Ian Dunt’s latest on Substack re Trump. Do we need a leadership election or all the internal machinations it involves to have it or avoid it? No, we don’t. It’s a time waster and, worse, people will get hurt.

Why have you allowed the media to influence you? The general election is still three years away and the media has been talking about it since the day after the election. Infighting just like the Tories and look where that led us!! Brexit for one.

Of course you do. And she will always live in your heart as continuous bonds get stronger. But the downside is so does the pain of loss - maybe more intermittent but strong still. A lovely, lovely poem and a great tribute.

Maybe it’s what he really wants.

Really? Wouldn’t you think the guy’s deserted you if you’d voted for him? Do any men consider the emotional impact on voters?

And what about the election for a new Mayor? If I was a resident, I’d be a bit upset that the guy who was elected to represent me for a full term, disappears off because of his ambition and leaves me vulnerable to a new Reform Mayor.
