anduin looks a little confused. in a slightly tentative voice, he asks, “wrathion, you say? that’s a unique name.” at the same time, he thinks, “a boy... surely this has to be a mistake.”

wrathion grins back at him, and says, “thank you. I chose it myself.” his eyes are brown, and he looks completely human.

anduin, beginning to blush, says, “oh,” as the pieces click into place. wrathion is a trans man.

That time, it went in. Anduin moaned at the tight, wet heat enveloping him while Wrathion winced at the feeling of being stretched open, more than he ever had in his life, as Anduin’s cock entered his body, inch by inch. The breath he let out swiftly turned into a smoky growl.

Through his haze, Anduin looked at Wrathion with concern. “Are you alright?”

“I need- I need t-to go slow,” Wrathion explained. He sank down, slowly, until Anduin was fully sheathed inside and Wrathion was sitting flush against him.

“It’s in,” the Black Prince stated dumbly.

“I-it is,” Anduin agreed. “How do you feel?”

“Full,” Wrathion said. “I need a moment to get used to it.”

Despite being stationary, the dragon’s heat still clenched around Anduin’s length as his body accommodated the intrusion. Anduin rubbed at Wrathion’s thigh, silently calling the Light to his hand to help soothe him. Wrathion’s expression softened. The tension in his shoulders seemed to lessen, and he began to relax. With an exhale, he pressed his hands against Anduin’s chest, running his palms over the linen fabric of his shirt until they came to rest on his shoulders once again. He squeezed.

“I’m going to move,” Wrathion said. “Okay?”

He gazed at his companion, watching the rise and fall of his chest. He took in the way the flames of the fire and light of the moon illuminated his silhouette, painting his frame with a mix of soft oranges and blues. Anduin couldn’t stop staring.

Wrathion looked back at him curiously. “What is it?”

“Oh,” Anduin said. “You’re just... really pretty. And handsome.”

Wrathion laughed. It was a wonderful sound. “So you’ve told me.”

“You look so good on top of me like this,” Anduin continued with a smile. “There’s a gorgeous boy in my lap, making love to me in this beautiful place beneath the stars. I feel like I’m dreaming.”

Something flickered in Wrathion’s eyes, a warmth that lit up his face much like the embers behind him. “Well.” He leaned in to press a kiss to his lips. “This is real, Anduin Wrynn.”

I need wrathion to be confirmed as a trans man so much I'm going to cry

the fact that I've seen this character as trans for a decade, and how a large part of the queer fandom always has as well, and then in dragonflight, the expansion about him, and dragons, leans heavily into trans themes. entirely on purpose

he's one of the characters to explain how important a mortal form is to a dragon and how it's an important decision, how it's an expression of how you want the world around you to see you....

I felt so unbelievably teased. the game had already confirmed chromie as trans (huge heart emojis), and it's like, wrathion trans man confirmation within reach

the way, a decade ago, he tells you he chose his own name

and for the first time the idea that a character I actually care so much about would actually be confirmed trans

I wish it would happen once in my life

“We don’t even know if it’ll survive,” as the words left Wrathion’s mouth, an overwhelming feeling of dread hit him like a bucket of ice water crashing over his head. He stopped dead in his tracks. “What if it doesn’t survive?”

He wasn’t aware of how worked up he had gotten, until Anduin was there in front of him, gently wiping the tears away from his cheeks with his thumbs. “Wrathion?” Two calloused palms cupped his face.

Wrathion looked back at him with wide eyes, raising a hand to hold onto Anduin’s wrist. A clawed nail scraped over the boy’s knuckles. “I’m keeping it,” he said, surprising even himself. “I want to keep it.” The words came easier the second time.

The look Anduin gave him made Wrathion’s heart want to burst. Tracing his finger along the faint dusting of scales scattered across Wrathion’s cheeks, he spoke. “I’m with you.”

Wrathion stared, searching Anduin’s face. “You would raise this child with me?” He couldn’t will his heart to stop racing. “But your father. The Alliance-”

“I don’t care about what anyone thinks. We did nothing wrong,” Anduin told him. “Loving you isn’t wrong. Loving you is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

“Anduin-”

“When I’m with you, I feel alive. For the first time in my life, I don’t have to hide.”

very personal post, but I found this screenshot in my old december 2015 art folder. I've been thinking a lot about how I felt back then, and then I found this... it's about my relationship with wow, and with queer representation overall... I don't know. it's very sad, and it makes me sad to read
