…but thrash is the best genre! I’m very much looking forward to the new Testament in October. They always deliver the riffs!

I know, right? We have a good few villages around here that are former colliery sites. They *always* object to wind turbines and solar farms. I really do not understand the thinking at all

Wrote a bit more about how the *process of making software* is a social activity before it is a technical activity, and AI tools alienating us from that social activity directly undermine our ability to make software.
Understanding how people work together is hard. Ordering them to use ChatGPT is easy. So managers do the latter, and then express shock when productivity plummets.

That's because problem framing is a social task. If you skip it, your solution will be wrong for ever; "build to learn" won't save you.
Skipping alignment leads to zero-impact UX
Deliverable artifacts are only a small part of the social system that product development entails. Any "productivity" gained by ignoring that system is an illusion.

I’m taking a hammer to our Epson soon. £66 just because our cyan is empty & I *have* to buy a complete set of cartridges. Also, their software is the biggest heap of shit even when compared to the shitshow of everyone else’s printer software. Looking at you HP
