At Barleythorpe in Rutland, Lord Lonsdale MFH erected three signs to calm traffic:
On the main road a notice was displayed, "Please drive quietly as Lord Lonsdale's stables and kennels are in front."
Further on was a placard stating, "Here they are", then one came to the polite "Thank you."

This strikingly modern window in the colours of the rainbow is actually from 1899.
