Please look after your neighbors. People are really struggling and suffering right now, especially the most vulnerable- children, elders, the disabled. Do what you can. Don’t close your heart.

When I was 12 an older cousin came to live with us. She’d gotten into trouble & her folks figured my dad, who was a strict disciplinarian (preacher/judge), could set her straight. Anyway, the guy she had run off with was Kiss army & she introduced them to me. RIP Ace Frehley. You were my favorite.

Robert Redford was an incredible Native ally. Not only did he support and bolster Native filmmakers and creatives (Sundance Film Festival, Dark Winds, etc.), his doc Incident in Oglala laid the groundwork for Leonard Peltier’s release. We’ll miss him.

Also, Jeremiah Johnson. 🙌🏼 Classic.

Yesterday I ran in the Dick Beardsley 10K in Detroit Lakes, MN. What a great race. I got 9th place & a new PB of 51:33 in my age division. This was my last race of the season. I may do one more local 5K for fun, but this is it for 2025.

With these flags raised high, we’re honoring our government-to-government partnership and recognizing that our Indigenous neighbors are not in the past.

I finished 550th out of 3,207 overall, 258th out of 2,254 women & I was the 21st out of 217 in my age group (top 10%!). No new PB. It was hot & poor air quality but I ran well- & my son ran his 1st half marathon❤️
