Finally! A review that chimes with our experience of this show. It was hard to find a single redeeming feature: in fact, I deliberately unfocused my eyes for the majority of the time, and it actually HURT to be there. I bear no ill will to the cast, but how can this have been allowed to happen?

I'm a musical theatre obsessive, and the idea that it can all be lumped together as 1 genre is ridiculous. I can see 3 shows in a weekend - Hadestown, The Producers, and Why Am I So Single? - and they could be from 3 different planets. I tolerate ALW, but don't choose his stuff without good reason.
