“Tariffs will be paid disproportionately from the pockets of working people…Meanwhile, the savings from the tax cuts will primarily flow to the pockets of the wealthy. So this is a Reverse Robinhood policy, trading taxes for tariffs, it takes money from the poor and gives it to the rich.” S Horsley

"I think I have the power to end this war. And I think it's going very well. But today I heard, 'Oh well we weren't invited.' Well you've been there for three years. You should have ended it three years. You should've never started it. You could've made a deal"

Under the Trump administration, the U.S. agency that funds aid projects has faced layoffs, a stop action order for most aid efforts and a disruption of its website. Now Elon Musk says it should 'die.'
Why does Musk want USAID 'to die'? And why did its website disappear?

Scientists at the CDC were ordered late on Friday to withdraw any pending publications, at any scientific journal, that mention terms such as “transgender,” “immigrant,” “LGBT” or “pregnant people.”

Not an economist, but it sounds to me that the US company pays the tariff when the product arrives, not whoever sends it. That makes me think prices in the US are going to go up.
Would Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China hurt US consumers?
Trump claims more taxes on trade wouldn't be a cost to the US - but almost all economists dispute this.
