You see the 28-point terms (sometimes in translated language based on odd Russian turns of phrase) & need feckin' Rubio to tell you it's "Russia's wish list"? Are you all imbeciles? Is anyone at all left in the US Congress going to stand up for Ukraine? for freedom and democracy? for human decency?

Trump's trying his damndest. . . .
Man I'm pretty drunk but I sure do love America

All its low-down dirtiness and cosmopolitism and revolutionary ideas about souls created equal by God with the inalienable human right to rule themselves

This messy beautiful place. No one can talk me out of my love for this stupid fuckin country

You would think that the 8 GOP Senators who are SO OUTRAGED that Jack Smith subpoenaed their phone records that they want $1 million compensation would bring him in to testify IN A PUBLIC HEARING to explain why he did this. But no, they don’t want to do that. I wonder why?

The only reason I’ll remain a registered Democrat is so I can vote for whoever primaries Chuck Schumer when he’s up for reelection. The Party is no more than a pathetic collection of eunuchs, incompetents, and capitulators. We deserve what we get. Senate Dems are worthless. . . .

Sorry, Ken, but history is going up in smoke. Right before your eyes. Make a series about that.
"I think when we take the past and understand it, then it gives us a guide to the present," filmmaker Ken Burns tells John Avlon. "What is it that we share in common? Where are the places where we can come together? One of the places that we share is this history."

King, who I once thought was a reasonable, halfway intelligent politician, is a moron . . . or on the take. The GOP is a party of Nazis & unapologetic racists. The Demsa and their pilot fish "Independents," are eunuchs and imbeciles. I'm a registered Democrat. I will not be by next election day.
King: So I believe that we are closer tonight to a vote on the ACA tax credits than we were this morning. This agreement tonight is a win for the American people.

80% of Democratic voters want a new leader in the Senate.

Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?

NO. Chuck feckin' Schumer sold us out. And if his "NO" vote makes you think otherwise, you belong in a different line of work.
Never forget who sold us out:

King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin

So @schumer.senate.gov really thinks we don’t understand that he orchestrated this by getting senators not up for re-election to vote yes?

Brava, AOC. Any Dem senator that votes for this "deal" should be voted out of office & then tarred & feathered by constituents. But I'm a realist, a Democrat who's watched the party's "leadership" capitulate over & over, & this time will be no different. Please, AOC. Primary Schumer. I beg you.
The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Get a feckin' spine, Tim. This has Schumer stink all over it. Cannot wait for AOC to primary him.
getting two pinky swears from Republicans, including one that they will merely follow the law, is laughably thin gruel

We can't impeach the bastard because (1) the House is AWOL (see: Epstein A), & (2) the sycophantic GOP toadies wouldn't agree to an obligatory impeachment even had Trump offered Ivanka to Epstein on the latter's birthday as one of their shared, "wonderful secrets" (see: Epstein B). Congress? Hello?

I admire "I'm a Lectern's" devotion to now meaningless distinctions, but I'm content to award 5 stars for what a cruel & vindictive retaliatory type would no doubt correctly term "pedantry." Me? I consider myself a kinder, gentler person, so will award those stars for "purism." Keep on lecterning!
