the article I read (linked somewhere in this thread) stated he just walked in, consulate members rushed towards the door and told him he could not be in there legally, and he told them "if you touch me I will grab you". ?grab meaning arrest, deport????

The "target" must have been running away from them at top speed, so the agents had to shoot because they felt their own lives were "in imminent danger" (sarcasm)

True. I think some of his stuff gets posted, the rest is by his puppeteers, who keep him placated by feeding his ego. THOSE are the truly scary people. Project 2025 and others.

One has to wonder, WHY are they lying so brazenly? I am starting to believe an uprising is exactly what they want. Marshall law ... they are recruiting thousands for ICE, they control the National Guard (and other military) ... something deeper going on here.

Americans won't wake up until the majority are in abject poverty, and hundreds of thousands of their own have been disappeared. The regime knows this and it allows them to do what they are doing.

Yes. My opinion: we're living what other countries have been living with for decades +. Only solution is to overthrow the regime, either with outside help, or when the people have nothing left to lose. I'm cynical, hopefully someone else has a more positive view.

I kind of feel like his children are victims as well. I can't imagine having to live with the knowledge of having a father like that.

Walked away from him AND the victim. Literally turned their backs on the person one of their own just shot and walked away like nothing happened. ALL are complicit.

We can't just pretend these things are not happening. We must do something. I don't have the answer, but clearly what is currently being done (protests, etc) are NOT working.

I really don't follow AOC, so I don't know her view on most things. Can you elaborate on why you feel that's she's problematic?

Exactly. This was a lose-lose situation to begin with. Repubs are in control of all branches of govt. Letting people - children, families, the disabled - go without food was not a viable option. We all know health care is going to be sacrificed. The current admin doesn't care about the people.

As much as I dislike her, she seems to be able to read the room. This does give me some hope (not for her, but for the change in the direction of the wind).
