"Yes, that's correct! Sheer Force, by nature, can overwhelm a Pokemon's natural instincts. Imagine if you were hit by a full force hit from a Pokemon, you'd probably be too stunned to flee too, wouldn't you?"

"That's correct! A gold star for you, Reina! That question was one of the hardest ones I've ever given out!"

Roxanne didn't intend to make her question easy. She knew it was quite hard, and it would stump a lot of even professional Pokemon Trainers.

"It has to do with an ability. An ability that the Pokemon has."

they use a move that causes damage?

I won't accept an answer that involves a non-damaging move or a status effect like Poison. Golisopod must take damage from a move or ability and not be forced to switch out after taking more than half of its HP in damage."

"Magnet Rise? Amy, can you be more specific? What about Magnet Rise?"

She certainly has! Roxanne swears that she's even seen Alice studying well into the night.

"I'll accept that answer. Another way to do it is have an Electric type Pokemon use a move like Magnet Rise, or have a Fire type Pokemon use the move Burn Up."

"Yes, it can learn the move Flail if you put off its evolution until after Level 25. There are other Pokemon that this can apply to as well."

"That's correct Alice! Although it is possible to put off an evolution as well. Evolved Pokemon learn new skills at a slower rate than their unevolved forms, or the unevolved form might learn a move that the evolved form can't learn."
