Wanna know why my sympathy for the BBC has run out?

Let me remind you of this little charade, while Boris Johnson was PM, and the head of the BBC secretly helped Darth Bagpuss to organise a secret £800,000 slush fund from a foreign national.

Want to know why the prisons system seems to be suddenly falling apart?

Well, it's not sudden. It's just suddenly being REPORTED. This rot was a deliberate policy choice, and I kept the receipts. Because I'm not the BBC.

(A note on what Tories did to cause this, from The Decade In Tory)

The famously left-wing bias of the BBC.

Absolutely this. If you want to know why everything everywhere is falling apart right now, you could do worse (and laugh less often) than these three books.

14 years of malicious self-interest, intentional underinvestment and accidental ineptitude. Chickens come home to roost - but under Labour.

Update:

V. excited about it.

Edited as I go, can't find a single typo. Still needs a thorough read, but with luck, will publish early Dec.

It's no surprise that Reform voters don't see themselves as racist. Everybody thinks they're the good guys.

What's shocking is that 1 in 20 Reform voters know they're racists, and do it anyway.

Sarah Pochin has apologised for saying what she thinks.

But not for thinking what she said.

I agree with the sentiment, but it wasn't 5 seconds, and it had a lot of help.

Three years ago today, I was dog-sitting Richard, a french bulldog, for a pal of mine, and him and Baxter did this for TWO HOURS.

Nine days since I started writing, half the book completed, the rest fully outlined, and I'm on one hell of a roll.

Still no idea what to call it, so it's currently "Sequel to Baby's Breath".

Barring interruptions, should be published before Christmas... 🤞

I would like to remind Brendan Clarke-Smith that he once demanded tens of thousands of pounds EACH in compensation from me, Sue Perkins, Alastair Campbell and many others for merely DESCRIBING a photo of him.

It's now 9 years since I saw this pinned to the wall in a local hospital, and not a week has gone by when I haven't thought about it.

Who loses one shoe?
Or did Diane only have one leg?
If they know it's Diane's, why make a poster at all?
Is it some kind of sinister threat?

Read the book absolutely nobody is talking about, and help to turn it into a book slightly more people are talking about, in what critics are calling "a blatant sales pitch that a 9-year-old could have come up with".

3 years ago today, I signed 3000 copies of my first book.

I'd been a bored software guy for 32 years, and never dreamed something like this would happen.

I owe so much to @johnmitchinson.bsky.social for taking a chance on me, and to all my followers for turning The Week In Tory into a phenomenon.
