Releasing today - the 2025 regional living wages. Our takeaway this year - too many people are working long hours for incomes that don't cover a conservative estimate of essential household expenses.

Have to say, I'm pretty proud to see my work cited in this list of people - obviously this is an awesome lit review.

It’s just … amazing.

The "problem" with this isn't that the "tariffs would have to be much higher", or that it would "require congressional approval" ... it's that it's COMPLETELY INSANE.

Media fails every single day to deal with the reality of what Trump is.

Your headline here is "Trump spews delusional nonsense"

The world may be gone to crap, but I’m really enjoying a very Red day in the car while the kids practice.

100%

It may take some time to fully understand what has happened the last 14 days. But this will loom large as an explanation.

Fun stuff. Really hard to follow the logic on all of this. I mean it’s all over the map… but why pour aid into Israeli only to tariff them for treating you unfairly?

The people of Ukraine need to die in Russian airstrikes becuase Zelensky didn’t dress appropriately when he went to the White House.

I think it would be great if conservative journalists and the National Post would place more value on knowledge produced through sound academic practices involving research and writing.

The White House seems to really be landing on dairy as the NEW REAL REASON for this trade war.

Both Canada and the US protect their dairy industries, but Canada has a huge trade deficit in dairy - US dairy exports have boomed in recent years and Canada and Mexico are the leading destinations.

"We don't need anything from Canada!"

Also,

"How can you 'stoop so low' as to charge us more for the things we need to import!"

"Your not even allowed to do that."

I was worried all day that this would age really badly….

But here’s the thing: “On again, off again”, is also very bad.

Don’t put their stuff back on the shelves. Just don’t.

Aside from all the other questions this raises; can someone please explain to me why Trump wants NATO allies to spend more on collective security ... against ... Russia ... at all? Not really understanding the whole Russia isn't a threat, but you owe us for protecting you from Russia thing.

Pro-tip for Canadian politico's - trying to feed hellscape social media with pro-Trump propaganda because you think its in your interest is always unwise. Trump WILL embarrass you for it - he can't help it.

But its particularly unwise when the fundamental interests of your country are at stake.
