My main frustration with #TheHandmaidsTale seasons 2-6 was that the US citizens were portrayed as the heroic Christian saviours, when it was them who created Gilead in the first place. The call is coming from inside the building, guys. The original HT needed a Canadian to see that. #EyesOnGilead

AUKUS nuclear subs and Australia's US alliance make the world more dangerous and are a colossal waste of money. The Greens and others advocate arms to ‘defend Australia’ as the alternative. Join this discussion on Kaurna Yerta/Adelaide about why socialists reject this nationalist solution.

David Shoebridge from the Greens is arguing for a $4 billion strategy to defend Australia.

We argue why this is mistaken. Workers have nothing to gain from buying into the global arms race.
No need for alternative military spending plans – Solidarity Online
David Glanz explains why proposals for weapons to ‘defend Australia’—such as from The Greens—are no alternative to AUKUS and mean buying into warmongering against China.

Unscientific poll: If you are asked to “bring a plate” (bring food to share, potluck, whatever it’s called elsewhere) for an activist meeting, does that make you:
• more likely to attend
• less likely to attend, or
• makes no real difference?
