Democrat leaders need to find a way to eliminate all these headlines about transgender issues without jettisoning the trans people. Right now, whenever Republicans want to manufacture an outrage, they pick immigration, crimes/drugs in big Dem cities and trans issues. These are free votes for them.

Ossoff should do some media spots, go to CNN and the likes. Go to a podcast. Try the water a little more. He saved HBCU today. Keep piling the wins.
Just look at this pic of Senator Ossoff and run him for 2028. No primary, no nothing 😆😆

Anyone who has seen the MAGA Twitter knows that this is one of their core motivation behind decimating the Federal Govt. And this is why they are so surprised when their cousins or son or daughter loosing their jobs.

Much of the Black middle class was built by federal jobs. That may change.
For the last several decades, federal jobs helped Black workers find stable work with guardrails to prevent bias, but mass cuts are threatening decades of upward mobility.

People are losing jobs.
Hardworking people at National Parks or cancer researchers in CDC et al.
MAGA: Great, deep state sciencee
Or,
Great, I also lost my job at Meta. It happens. It's great.

These people have no sense of shared humanity left. Almost like they are a different species.

Robert De Niro's Zero Day on Netflix is a pretty pertinent series for the present times. With the foreboding feeling that the US might implode over the next 2-3 years if this mad tyranny not curbed at least to some extent, the core of the show is too real. But the reality is a whole lot bleaker.

This new show in Netflix has Angela Bassett as the POTUS. Unfortunately, no matter how many actresses Hollywood cast as the POTUS, this country is so horrifically racist AND sexist that to get a Black woman POTUS, some sort of cosmic alignment has to happen. They chose Him, over Her, FFS!

This is how it should be, but somehow, American people are very fond of their billionaires, no matter how much they rip them off.
Here’s the hard truth: this country’s people are tired of subsidizing billionaires. Want your cars to sell? Do it without subsidies. Want to shoot rockets into space? Get by without govt contracts. Want to build a website? Build your own internet first.

We are DONE with you.

BlueSky needs more entertainment. Without sports and films, it can't compete with Twitter. People won't shift unless their friends also do the same.
Thank you to @maddow.msnbc.com for promoting @bsky.app on air and complimenting it.

Yes, FLOOD THE ZONE right back! Offense! This is something the average person can do! Instead of doomscrolling, the next time you come across a real story, from a real person who made their profile public bc they don’t GAF anymore, share to the community. Not the echo chambers only.

Yeah, we all see and understand who exactly these "threats from within" are. Who is dismantling education, research, healthcare across the country, hurting the most vulnerable here and across the world.
BREAKING: US VP just launched an extraordinary attack on Europe.

“The threat that I worry most about, vis-a-vis Europe, is not Russia, it’s not China, it’s not any other external actor.

“What I worry about is the threat from within: the retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values.”

Here we go #NIH getting the cut.
I have never ever seen a country self-destruct like this. US has so many problems, but one thing it truly does well is research and development in almost all walks of life. Why would a proud nation volunteerily yield its advantage? Just to own the libs?
Is anyone else terrified that the funding for most non-defense related research will be scrapped from 2026 or so because of the department that Trump made for Musk and Ramaswamy?
I am seeing hundreds of tweets daily on the hellsite aimed against basic science research.

Elon Musk pushed out the FAA chief — who resigned 1 year into a 5 year term, last week.

Why? Because last year the FAA fined SpaceX $600,000 — for safety violations.

Now the FAA has no chief — and we just had the first commercial airline crash in 16 years.

US press trajectory is so eerily similar to what India has been going through. Now the transition is complete there. Richest man in the country bought the last bastion of news. Most famous newsperson got fired. JLT.
Wonder as CNN just sold its integrity, if this marks the same event in the US.
Really love this cartoon from the great Michael De Adder. The outpouring of support coming in has been truly amazing! Thanks everybody!

Well, here it starts. NIH reviews are stalled for the near future. I am sure NSF going to follow suite. America's strongest domain is research and development, and that is getting kneecapped from the within.
