Keith, there are two distinct products: a self-contained SW deck building game (like Star Realms), which this person is referencing) and Star Wars Unlimited, the CCG.

Once you start thinking of AI as a war on humanity, on human thought, on human inquiry, on human labor, on nuance and critical thinking, it slots in pretty seamlessly with the right wing ideological project, oligarchical political projects, big tech's political projects, etc

It's a tough situation. Best you can do (if you want to maintain a relationship) is to distance yourself, protect your mental health and be careful when and how you engage. Maybe at some future point looking into cult deprogramming techniques, but it won't be the time now while they're "winning."

At least you have editorial control. This was exactly the experience of working in a small radio newsroom, except then you'd get to ask "This isn't time sensitive, why can't we just hold this for next week?"

I hate Zuck as much as anyone, but I suspect that the population of people who deactivate instead of delete accounts is overwhelmingly (young) people who are facing harassment/bullying and view that as a way to make it temporarily stop. In that context, the message makes a lot of sense.
