Run of the Mill(ennial) Guy
@runofthemillennial.bsky.social
Just your run of the mill millennial guy.
@profgalloway.com probably an all hands on deck moment for the Dems, someone going to jail for this is both right and effective. The messaging needs to be crisp and consistent. They counter with Hillary’s email so a secondary message campaign for that needs to be ready. The chin is out, KO or bust.

There is 2 levels of incompetence here that I hope gets discussed:

1) but her emails crowd doing something way way worse
2) the way they talk in private is the same as in public. The clown makeup doesn’t come off this is who they are. Blaming Europe and having unclear instructions from the boss.

They stuck their chin out again, for the love of god someone that matters connect with a clean hit.

You’re free to feel that way, but I empathize with players fighting for a bigger share when billionaires profit off their labor. Millionaires are easier tax targets since their wealth is income, not capital gain; annoyance at them often leads to tax changes that barely touch real wealth inequality.

Making millionaires the enemy just distracts from the billionaires. As the saying goes the difference between a million and a billion is roughly a billion.

I’m assuming the 15M is a starting point to get to the 10.5 range but get paid young man and invest wisely.

Also in general everyone is going to find line items in the government budget they don’t like, but discussing whether or not it’s worth it is a distraction from the fact that no one person, let alone an unelected individual, should be the sole decisionmaker.

Politico and Politico Pro are fairly different. Politico is a news site covering politics, while Politico Pro is a paid service offering deep policy analysis, exclusive data, and legislative tracking—closer to LexisNexis for policy and government affairs.

I understand that, my larger point is the article is harsher than the headline but the voters that decided the past election may only see the headline. That’s why it matters.

@karaswisher.bsky.social I’m totally at ease—after all, we’ve been promised he’ll “excuse himself from any conflicts.” So if his businesses just happen to skyrocket in value, it’ll be purely because of their undeniable excellence, not at all due to any, you know, outside influence. Not to worry!!

Headlines shape public perception. Using soft language about Trump only helps blur the reality for low-information voters. Calling out his lies directly makes it clear that his tactics go beyond the usual political spin—problematic as that may be. Clarity matters.

Also can we keep focus on Elon’s coup not Trump’s distraction of the day?

bsky.app/profile/runo...
How has the continuing takeover of the US government by a single individual, WHO NO ONE ELECTED, already fallen below the fold. This is the only story right now.

@nytimes.com stop falling for the distractions. We aren’t taking over Gaza. As horrible as the suggestion is we all know he won’t do it.

We need a Ted Koppel right now. “We are 6 days into Elon’s coup”…. Until someone does something about it. Don’t let it become normalized and routine.
February 6, 2025 at 3:02 PM
@karaswisher.bsky.social do you have anything regular folk can do? I’m paying attention, I’m worried, I’m angry but I don’t know where to focus that energy.
