Are we thinking Gakpo to Watkins worth a hit now?
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦁⚽️🏆 #Gakpo injury doubt for Wolves clash Liverpool boss Arne Slot has revealed Cody Gakpo is a doubt for Sunday’s game against Wolves. The forward was subbed off with 20 minutes left in the Merseyside derby, where James Tarkowski’s stoppage-time strike denied Liverpool victory. #LFC #PremierLeague

How has the continuing takeover of the US government by a single individual, WHO NO ONE ELECTED, already fallen below the fold. This is the only story right now.

@nytimes.com stop falling for the distractions. We aren’t taking over Gaza. As horrible as the suggestion is we all know he won’t do it.

Im glad some senior Dems are starting to get it. @chrismurphyct.bsky.social I think it’s time for you to step even more in the limelight.

Step 1 is stopping whatever Musk and Co are doing by any means necessary

Step 2 is figuring out how to get facts to penetrate the right’s information iron dome.

No progress can be made on anything until then.

if I understand American politics correctly, progressivism is something that requires 60 senate votes to work, while national conservatism doesn’t require any votes at all

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

How would the media and our leaders react if Harris won and Soros was doing this instead of Musk? Maybe we should we be doing that…

I wonder if we start a rumor that Elon is using Hillary’s servers something might actually get done?

You are the Senators I expect to be doing something. It’s a street fight, start punching back.
On CBC right now:
Ottawa Senators fans just loudly booed the us national anthem at the hockey game in Ottawa. They are playing Minnesota.
Having been to a few hockey games in Canada I can tell you that just doesn’t happen.

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

This is what they are distracting us from. When the trumpists bring up whatever distraction is envogue, bring it back to “Isn’t this an attempt to distract from the fact that Trump is letting billionaires weaken your finances to only get themselves more”.
With the broligarchs granted sweeping powers over the federal government, what happens now?

My new piece in @theatlantic.bsky.social today reviews what they've been up to & how their bizarre political agenda stems from comic books & sci-fi.

Shitposting the US government plays into the far-right’s hands. News and social media (including here) focus on everything going wrong. But the broader trend over the last 50 years is that of significant progress. Here’s a thread on government policies that have shaped a better future for us all. 🧵

I’m starting to think this guy might not be super interested in “draining the swamp” … I’m sure these are just regular folks who want to secretly help the team bring the cost of groceries down.
President-elect Trump is keeping the names of the donors who are funding his transition effort secret, in a break from tradition that could make it impossible to see what interest groups, businesses or wealthy people are helping launch his second term.

Breaking with past practice, President-elect Donald J. Trump has not agreed to disclose the donors paying for his planning effort or to limit their contributions.

Rep. McBride deserves the same dignity shown to all members. This stunt, should only focus us on the GOP’s lack of a plan to help Americans afford their own dignified life? Families need solutions, not theatrics. Let’s focus on the real work that needs doing. We’ll settle for concepts at this stage
