Gallup polled it in December. It doesn't show <18 but 18-29 is football with "other sports" close behind, big gap down to basketball / no sports, gap again down to soccer, baseball / hockey. This feels right to me, a US kid would probably recognize NFL -> NBA -> soccer.

Great article but I have a correction. Lamar posted a video hours before the draft started stating that he was extending so we did know at that point. Doesn't change the substance!
