My wife is 44 and she tried to schedule a colonoscopy, which was requested by her primary care doctor. The GI office told her that insurance companies do not pay for colonoscopies for people who are under the age of 45.

I actually think most mainstream journalists would benefit from spending a good amount of time on everything from Truth Social to Gab and Stormfront to recalibrate their understanding of who poses the real threat in modern American society
I just wish open Nazis were treated with the same level of contempt by the news media as annoying 19 year old college kids

One of my biggest intellectual awakenings was when I realized my entire understanding of the right, and conservatism, had come to me through the lens of things written by the left. Reading the right and other conservatives through my own eyes has been much more fruitful.

So if I have zero followers... am I basically just writing notes to myself?
If so, I'm okay with that because, for me, writing is part of the search to understand. Writing helps me to think.

In disgust, I deleted all my tweets, my twitter account, and my facebook account. My productivity skyrocketed during the 6+ months of life w/out social media. Here's to hoping I maintain some level of productivity now that I've descended back into the social media world.

So far, this place seems quite a bit healthier than the place formerly known as Twitter. Think I’ll stay for awhile.
