Walked into my Virginia liquor store and went right to the local aisle. I flashed the bird at the Trump wine (made in VA) and got me some excellent Boman Brothers. For good measure, also gave the one finger salute to EVERYTHING made in Kentucky (fuck you Mitch). Cheers all! Try some!

February 2 in Virginia. It was 7 degrees 3 weeks ago (lower with wind chill), 58 yesterday, 24 today and look what is blooming. Yes, there are early daffodil bulbs here but mine don’t usually bloom until mid-March. Here they are 6 weeks early. Tariffs are going to suck but climate will kill us.

Snow day! Winnie, the black dog, hasn’t seen snow before. Watching her joy in the experience of her first snow warmed my heart! She didn’t want to come inside.

Got 4 lbs of cranberries for $2. I’m newer to canning but made 6 quarts of cranberry juice & 4 pints of cran-apple chutney. Total cost $3.38. Not bad!
