I have just finished watching part one of the superb BBC documentary "Rage against the regime". It is about the series of popular protests against state repression in post revolutionary Iran. Reminded me why I am so proud to be a former staffer and so happy to pay my license fee.

P+R announces a 25% reduction in the PSO for Alderney air services. Will lead to higher fares. Dramatically so on Southampton route. Will that generate the cash required or just lead to lower pax numbers? If the latter not only will the PSO not be fully funded but Alderney airport losses will rise.

Thank you Simon de la Rue [GPP] for understanding & explaining that the tax package approved by the States isn't just GST but a suit of measures which taken together are very progressive. Hope even my biggest critics will accept that I have a track record of concern for those on modest incomes.
