The 2018 album by Sigh, a really interesting Avant-Grade Metal band from Japan that has a lot of electronic influence as well as Japanese Folk and a lean towards Prog metal and black metal. Definitely hard to describe, it is such interesting and varied music.

Absolutely one of the biggest things in my childhood. Played my copy of of Pokémon Blue over and over again growing up and it's beautiful to have that Soundtrack on vinyl. Bonus is that they have the full version of the theme song from the TV show as the last song here!

I think my second favorite of all their albums. Cell-Scape being my fave! 1 thing about this record is it starts off with Candy Gun that I think many could agree us their best song ever. It's fitting their best song is on their last album unless they unexpectedly drop again.

About 10 years later than the 1 I played yesterday. I love the lean towards more kinda trippy & surfy guitar on this one compared to others in their discog. For a band that embraces Noise Rock & Noisecore & started off doing grindcore their stuff is quite fun/catchy!

First Melt-Banana album I heard and was completely enthralled from the jump! They have a chaotic, fast paced take on Noise Rock that is informed by Post Hardcore and very unique vocal delevery. "Spathic" is a stand out for me on this record.

Just saw SOUL GLO. Really what an incredible show. Amazing Hardcore band, incredible energy, they worked the crowd. They gave a fast, hard hour long set and if you're a fan of hardcore I can't imagine you wouldn't love this!

I think this will go down as 1 of the best Hardcore albums of the 20s. Really great, fast, heavy Hardcore Punk w/ nice fusion of Rap both vocal wise on some songs & instrumentally. Rec "Gold Chain Punk (whogonbwatmyass)" & "GODBLESSYALLREALGOOD" if you're unfamiliar.

One of my favorite modern J-Pop groups. Lots of variety in their music, they write their own stuff, they all play multiple instruments. A love band approach you don't often see in J-Pop done really well! So much fun and high energy to see live too if you get the chance.

Went to see Senza last night. They were on tour w/ Infant Island w/ support from 2 local bands. Been a long time since since been to any Screamo adjacent shows and I had a great time! Love I was able to get Senza's "Even A Worm Will Turn" & "Under Sound" from local band Prize Horse!

This album sees her in a quartet. Drums, bass, paino and trumpet. Generally a Cool Jazz and Post Bop record with highlights being the trumpet solos on the title track, the subdued synth solo on "Memory" and the high energy on "After Mr. Teng."

Really wish it wasn't seemingly their last album as it came out nearly a decade ago at this point, but I think it might be my favorite of their's anyway. Lots of of lowkey beautiful Art Rock/Pop, Chamber Pop to accompany a lot of vulnerable moments by Thom Yorke.

classic 60's and 70's piano blues artist who topically lived in either Minnesota or Chicago depending on the year. Definitely pretty undercooked, glad I could find him as part of my ongoing exploration of the Minnesota music scene over the years.
