Not awful enough for any of them to do anything about it, I guess.
Trying not to be pessimistic. But this whole episode highlights an ugly truth: some significant portion of our armed forces might just be A.O.K. with doing war crimes.

The war crimes Hegseth is committing puts into play a whole host of worsening scenarios. It’s more than a scandal, it’s an action that further destabilizes the country and makes future crimes more likely.
