People blaming Ivey for this slow start or asking for a backup PG are too stuck in old school thinking. Pistons have struggled because they have shot horribly. We do need more on ball creators but stop thinking it has to come from the PG. Bigger need is a wing that can create and initiate

@davelepisto.bsky.social I have seen a ton of 3-2 or 1-2-2 half court pressure zone defences this year. Offensively we are just hunting space, flashing Nail or trying for swing-swing type of passes and attacking. Have you seen an increase in pressure half court zones? They pick you up at almost half

Pistons Twitter seems so afraid to make a move for a good player. As long as you don’t overpay (or by a ton) you can always pivot down the road. I’d rather be bold and improve the team now. Screw tanking to keep our pick which eventually has to be given away

Next year Cade is on his max. We will never have room to add more than one good player with our cap space. I would like to add that player NOW. It solves one problem and not all of them. But thinking you can solve everything with patience and draft picks is usually bad. Pistons are proof of that

When Wilt was playing at Kansas, they'd lob the ball over the backboard on baseline out of bounds plays. Tex Winter, at KState at the time, hung chicken wire over the backboard to prevent this. Rules changed soon after to disallow ball going over the backboard
What is the rationale for the "shots from behind the backboard don't count" rule, anyhow?
Seems to me like if the shot comes from within bounds and it goes in the basket clean, they should score it.

Can’t forget Troy Weaver spent two second round picks to get Bagley, gave him a too high contract when he was an RFA with little leverage and then attached 2 second rounders to get rid of him. Stats on the worst team in the league.

The Knicks beat the Pelicans by 33 and Bridges still played 35. Three starters at 30+. Thibs is crazy. It’s fine to push the starters in close games but nobody should have played 35 when they were up 23 after 1Q, 37 after 3Q and cruised the whole way.

Wife and I just finished watching “Man on the Inside” with Ted Danson on Netflix. 8 30 minute episodes. Really good. A dramedy and partial mystery show. Well done. Ted was really good. Skews to an older audience but very good

The #Pacers were switching on-ball screens to start the fourth quarter. Toppin ended up on Cade Cunningham twice and it did not go well for Obi.
That first bucket is particularly spicy. I like that Obi then plays further back after getting burned and Cade takes the open space to drill the three.
