I want to be more factual and show all the examples where AI shows this lack of ability to identify your intent. If you have examples of that, please send them to me.

I don't want to be toxic to it and say "And now please actually read what I asked you to do", when I say to do X with Z. and it does Z completely ignoring X.

Why does it happen?

I don't want to constantly say what do you mean by "X" when Claude says something stupid so that it starts actually thinking and give me the right answer.

When I ask Claude: 'How do I return to a specific commit (the one before the previous) and add 2 files I forgot?'

I don't want examples showing how to go back 3 commits, then hearing 'that was just an example' when I ask why 3.

Why not make your examples match what I actually asked for?

It's true that you can both understand the system and use abstractions created by someone else. My message said: "using abstraction as a way to avoid understanding the system".

IMO if abstractions are close to the truth, they make it easier for you to understand the system.

I think it's silly to call yourself a professional web developer if you don't know the underlying system in depth and instead only rely on abstractions made by someone else.

Now I finally want to figure out what declarative frameworks are for, what their anatomy is, and ditch away all the magic that was present before. I want to know exactly what and how things happen in the browser.

Svelte is fantastic, but as @rich-harris.dev said himself, it's not just a framework—it's a new language. It feels like their core audience are people who want all the good and clean parts while allowing themself to indulge in avoidance.

At first there was Svelte, whose simplicity I loved, then React to understand the mainstream way of building things. Now I want to try Solid, mainly due to Ryan's stance that you should understand how a framework works under the hood to utilize it effectively.

i don't have to meditate when i feel resistance. it's not a checkbox in the List of 'living right' that i pretend exists, though i act like there must be such a list. the Feeling doesn't need to be anything specific, nothing needs to be done with it
