I am horrid little child and I want my AI to understand me. I don't want to each time check every word in their answer to make sure they didn't do something obviously unhelpful or stupid.

The ability to change our 'utility function' seems almost magical to me. Yesterday I felt extremely bored and it was definitely not pleasant, but I appreciated that it happened to me, because boredom boosts creativity significantly. So in the end, I found myself oddly grateful for the experience.
