We honour people with lived and living experience who have long resisted coercive drug policy, including those who launched last year’s petition opposing involuntary care. Their leadership continues to guide this work.

Harm Reduction Nurses Association & Doctors for Safer Drug Policy encourage colleagues to stand down from implementing BC NDP Mental Health Act changes

It’s true. I did get pissy
(we are now into councillors being pissy, as Orr says about the Energy Retrofits $$$ “let’s take it out and put it in potholes, great job," Dominato says fixing potholes is a safety issue and argues Orr is frivolous about that, and Orr says loudly "I did not say it was frivolous"

as you were)

Worst of all, we’ve lost a generation of leaders to the grave, leaving our movements weakened, disorganized and our passing down of knowledge & traditions interrupted.

Since I was first handed a new syringe by a harm reduction activist, I knew I had to be involved. I've seen many others join up too. But in every war, soldiers are rotated off the front lines for R&R. We need to do this. Because we're losing hundreds to burn out, grief, PTSD & exhaustion.
