I got LM2596 buck converters (BC) long ago when I was first learning how to wire LEDs and couldn’t think of the way I could use them and today I worked up an LED solution using the BCs, a LED controller module, and 5v WS2812 LED strip. Wired directly to the 24v printer PSU, and converted to 5v. 🪄

It is so easy to get in that mindset. It’s also easy to remind yourself that this is a falsity, and voting against items is what keeps the dark at bay.

It would depend on the circumstances, your composure, and your reputation. When the stakes are high and opinions differ, dialoguing with respect and candor are important.

Hah yes it can be perilous to your career. Generally speaking though, you find that the professionalism of these experts means that it’s not like the movies, you just have to have the intestinal fortitude to say sir, that would be a violation of my own personal values and the values of the force.
