I got LM2596 buck converters (BC) long ago when I was first learning how to wire LEDs and couldn’t think of the way I could use them and today I worked up an LED solution using the BCs, a LED controller module, and 5v WS2812 LED strip. Wired directly to the 24v printer PSU, and converted to 5v. 🪄

I am so proud of myself. I recently got back into tinkering with electronics and 3D printing and I am amazed by how much I am capable of. I’ve gone from resurrecting my printer to rehabbing my octoprint server, dialing in glass bed, test prints, solid quality, and today I used a new chip! 1/2

I recently took a road trip to Colorado in a SUV with a modified platform for sleeping. Navigating camping areas that were accessible to me required a ton faith in where you were going and your ability to be ok when you get there. My last evening I found myself at Lake Deweese and I was fairly lost.
