I love my big dog and she loves me, too, so I get this premise but, tbh, I've met some dogs that are just plain mean and nasty. No one can love them but their owner, who always excuses their bad behaviour.

Yes, as a homecare provider, we had experiences with men being very sexual and 'affectionate' when they had dementia. Working midnight shift could be scary. I'd tell them 'I'm going to tell your wife!' That usually slowed them down, long term memory is still a bit active.
