fixed some bugs in the irc but some still pertain, namely adding your own server to the global server list, and live updating the online user count + list, still considering making the beta public but idk if anyone will use it lul

just woke up to my pc running really loud and the screen not moving, literally had to pull the plug because the off button wasn't doing anything

update: i'm cookin. i'm gonna try make it so anyone can add their server to a serverlist that's accessed from this client, i'll probably finish it tomorrow

a stackoverflow post confirms this (stackoverflow.com/a/76491662/1...), so if i wanted to release this, every user would need $100 a month just to use it. FUCK ELON MUSK!!
update: i think i need elevated permissions to the twitter API ($100/month) for it to work, but i can't tell because it's just telling me my valid key is not valid?

i was thinking of making a thing that would automatically post your tweets on bluesky using both platform's APIs but i'm pretty sure the twitter api is so shit it's not even possible.
