Imperial Russian/Soviet History Ph.D. Done the communism-and-fascism thing, which has been more "relevant" than anticipated (or desired). Real loves: opera, philology, and storytelling ancient, medieval, and modern.
"Knock on the doors with your boobs, Peregrin Took. But if that does not shatter them, and I am allowed a little peace from foolish questions, I will seek for the opening words."

“All we have to decide is what to do with the boobs that are given us”.

To be fair, everyone teaching college students has had this same rejoinder for at least a decade.

"Holley also rejected claims that universities indoctrinate students. 'I can barely get students to read the syllabus, let alone indoctrinate them into any form of political belief', she said." 😂 Yeah, different conversation.

Well, he could always have co-authored the article about AI bots' need for empathy.

But I think this goes exactly to my point about the bumper sticker: he’s been clearly a terrible person for way longer than the last few years (NOT “he recently went crazy”) but many people aren’t sufficiently online to know that, before buying a car, they need to study the morals of the company CEO

Fair! As someone who wasn't remotely interested in him and what he had to say, who only knew who he was starting around 2018 because I repeatedly heard people with low critical facilities idolizing him, I trust there's something to what you say, there. :)

Though he did not "go crazy." He's always been a dick. It's more like, "I didn't realize that it was immoral to buy a car without closely familiarizing myself with the CEO's social media output and anticipating his elevation to the fascist kleptocracy."

I think it will be subsumed under the one about Q, in which the craziest damn conspiracy theory slowly comes true... Just about its proponents rather than their adversaries.

All those bs "leadership" courses out there and I wonder how many analyze Agamemnon as the greatest ever "how not to." (I think about Agamemnon in a workplace context. A lot.)

Good education eventually runs into questions about the nature of power and how it has shaped specific situations past and present. Answering - and continuing to ask - those questions makes it absolutely impossible to support anything they do, stand for, put on a bumper sticker, whatever. Forever.

Only RINOs stop at measles. Real MAGAs bring back cholera, too.

Floor 5: all the college majors that will be down the tubes for teaching you something about being a citizen and a human instead of how to run a profitable scam, feed a computation to a machine, or qualify as a labor unit to someone else doing one of the above.

That's just staggering.
