@downgoesbrown.bsky.social watched your 6 reasons Canada hasn’t won video. I’d like to propose one more (kinda): the premise is flawed to the point of it being irrelevant. Everyone says ‘Canada should win more!’ But the relationship between Canadian teams and CA’s star players is basically random.

I joked (about Trump, not the serious tragedy) to my wife last night that he’d find a way to blame it on DEI. The first chance he gets to show he can be ‘presidential’ and this is what we get. Not a surprise, but disappointing nonetheless.
And now Trump is suggesting that diversity initiatives played a role.

There is a very ‘early Leafs Twitter’ vibe going on here for now, which is great. Probably going to use this (at least in part) as an escape from politics here so planning to avoid that stuff for now. Let’s see how that goes.
