Hey there, downtown Seattle, is that shady looking hi rise with a sky bridge on fire? Or is someone enthusiastically grilling? Saw it from I5, looked like one of the consumer safety fried Turkey disaster videos, up there on the roof.

Just finished rereading Look at Me by Anita Brookner. I think it holds up well enough to be Anna Kendrick’s next movie. Or whoever the British Kendrick is, I guess.

I’m really grateful that I watched “Come See Me in the Good Light.” Ya never know, with Longmont. It’s all called love.

How incredibly disappointing.

For some reason, I can’t stop thinking about a Seattle restaurant owner who lost his ever-loving mind on fb. Just kept digging and digging.

So do we get to speak to horses in normal voices again?

Everyone talks so highly about the tensile strength of spider silk, and yet, it’s no match for my face.

I guess I was hoping all the Terrence Stamp posts were because he just won an award or something. RIP.

Might watch the magic hat movie this afternoon.

Just finished Kills Well. Another satisfying outing with your necessary monsters — thank you! Curious if the Carstairs surname was a bit of a wink to the Pollifax fans in the audience…

There’s a lot going on, but I’m going to spend the day thinking about the Ghosts UK finale. Might clap on some old furs and go as Robin for Halloween, an idea that absolutely will not survive until late October…
Hell, we might all be dressed in old skins and moth-eaten furs by late October.

It’s that beautiful time of year in Seattle when the weather forecast swings from city-stopping snow, to sunny and bracingly cold. Not unique to here, of course, but I feel like the weather forecasters must be exhausted.

Passing a somewhat obscured billboard and thinking, huh, they made a show called “Milton”? Hope it’s about his daughter!

Saw “Flow” last night. Can’t stop thinking about the last scene. Are we hoping the pebbles will start rattling again? Is that the only way to save [redacted]? Why isn’t there a capybara emoji??

Finished reading “Going Bamboo” today. Seemed like Tony B had a lot of fun writing it. One sentence certainly gave me pause, though.

Look, I enjoy the Gamache books, a lot, actually. But as a Seattleite (is that the correct spelling? lol) with a loose acquaintanceship with the late Murray Stenson, I found the characters’ loathing of The Last Word, and their bafflement about chartreuse, just a little annoying. Sorry, Louise.
