Lincoln didn't campaign on total abolition, but he openly believed slavery was immoral and unambiguously opposed its expansion.

If you think Dems shouldn't run on "free HRT for everyone" yet, sure, whatever, but defending the rights of trans people to exist in society is a moral imperative, IMO.
