Simply because the President cannot be prosecuted for an “official” act does not make the act legal. Accountability for carrying out an illegal order remains. The Nuremberg precedents remain in force. Just following orders is not an acceptable defense.

I live in Georgia and I suspect you’re right. Dani Willis was not removed for her ethical lapses, and that is clearly what they were, but for going after prominent Republicans. Our Republican-controlled Supreme Court is not always apolitical.

Even a basic understanding of economics would tell you that the $2,000 check is a fantasy (like the $5,000 check from DOGE), and the 50 year mortgage is just a windfall for bankers.

ICE does not recruit the best. They go for those who feel constrained by regular law enforcement agencies. So you get those who would get charged with excessive force in the normal course of events. The best don't work for ICE. Watch their recruiting commercials and see for yourself.

The truth is not with these ones. Neither Trump nor Kennedy are scientists and neither is credible on any subject. Which means our traditional media will slavishly report on every word they say as if it is newly revealed truth.

So now we've lost free speech, freedom of assembly and the free press. Next comes freedom of religion, except we'll be free/required to worship at a Christian Nationalist church. I expect the Supremes to bless all this, 6 to 3.

Given Trump's previous comments, I would expect that he conflates antifa with the Democratic Party and will use his legally questionable declaration to go after any Democrat or independent that does not bow the knee to him.
