Your best bet is to find ways to spend sorcery points on things that aren’t spells. Those options exist, but they’re subclass features, and spending 3 levels to get a bunch of stuff that you can barely use is a terrible idea.

I can already hear people typing “what about feats?” Feats are an intentional trade. You’re paying an opportunity cost and potentially falling behind the math in exchange for something that might be more impactful for your build than a +1 that you can pick up later.

WotC did the impossible: they found a way to make the 2014 version of Divine Strike even slightly appealing. Of course, that’s no longer a choice now, and Divine Strike Strike is STILL a bad feature.
