Years from now, your kids and grandkids will reply, "yeah, yeah we get it - you remember precisely when late-night comedy TV died and everything went online, and the big TV networks eventually went extinct. Now can I turn the internet chip in my brain back on?"

A wonderful story. Still, I can't imagine something like this happening under the US government that Trump/Musk envision: a government that doesn't care about the people that elected it. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/08/u...

Visiting Santa Monica, I met some California National Guard troops in a local store. They're helping local Law Enforcement Agencies to protect fire zone perimeters. They were from NorCal, like me, but had spent four weeks in Pacific Palisades. They didn't expect to be here so long.

Trump vilified tech giants. Now they’re giving him millions.
After years in which Trump called them enemies of the people, Silicon Valley executives are hoping $1 million gifts and Mar-a-Lago dinners will mend bridges with the president-elect.
